Karnataka State Child Protection Commission and Child Protection Directorate, Bangalore, in collaboration with them, organized a workshop on child rights and child protection laws for the chairpersons, members of child welfare committees, members of juvenile justice boards and district child protection officers of all districts on the role and responsibilities of child rights and child protection laws on March 10 at 10.00 am at the Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association in Cubbon Park, Bengaluru.
The program will be inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice of the Karnataka High Court and Chairman of the Juvenile Justice Committee, S. Sunil Dutt Yadav. The Chairman of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, K. Naganna Gowda will preside over the event, while Member Secretary of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, M.L. Raghunath and Director of the Directorate of Child Protection, Smt. Lathakumari will be the chief guests. Members of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights will be the guests.
The chairpersons and members of the State Commissions for Protection of Child Rights of Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Tripura will be present as special invitees and resource persons at the event, the release said.
