A scientific beekeeping initiative was launched on 26 October 2024 at Group Centre, Central Reserve Police Force, Yelahanka. Earlier,some selected personnel of the Force have been trained in beekeeping from the Training Institution. In this initiative, 25 beekeeping boxes were
provided by Rotary Club Bangalore Mid Town, a leading institution in the field of community welfare, which will be placed at selected places in the campus.
On this occasion, Padma Kumar A., Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre and T.P. Viswanath, Commandant, in their address, told that the Group Centre campus is in two parts in the total area
of 256 acres, and the campus is identical suitable for beekeeping. Along with this, they assured that special efforts are being made to create the necessary environment, flower plants etc. for beekeeping and it will be
reviewed regularly. It is worth mentioning that various activities are organized through CWWA, CRPF for the welfare of the families of the jawans of the Force, so that the families can earn income while acquiring
skills through specific trainings and activities
On this occasion, RCWA Head, Mrs. Jayashree Padma Kumar A, Mrs. Geeta Vishwanath, Mr. T.P. Vishwanath, Commandant, CAWWA members, Officers along with Rotary Club Mid Town Bangalore President Rtn Palani Loganathan, Honorary Secretary Rtn B.S. Nagarajan, Director Vocational Services Rtn Shafiq Ahmed, Rtn Roopa
Mouli and Rtn Vikram Desai were also present and deliver valuable and useful thoughts on various topics like maintenance, maintaining natural beauty through beekeeping, benefits of beekeeping, utility of honey to
maintain physical health.
