Bhaavanjali is bringing together two musicians from two different classical backgrounds for the first time. Sangeetha Srikishen a renowned Carnatic musician and Padmini Rao an exponent of Hindustani music for the first time bring to you, renditions of various Saint poets of India. From Meera Bai to Haridasas , from Arjan Dev to Shankaracharya. The diverse voices merge into the one universal ocean of devotion in a beautifully curated set of songs.
Bhaavanjali is not just of two immensely talented musicians coming together, but also of two sacred geographies, two emotionally evocative moods and two equally powerful traditions, where it all seamlessly blends to manifest itself as Bhakti -the ultimate devotion to the revered Gods.
They will be accompanied by H.B Jayaram on Keyboard, Preetham Halibandi on Tabla, L N Vasantha Kumar on flute and Micky Jhonson on Rhythm Pad.
