Leinfelden-Echterdingen – The application phase for 2026 is open: Anyone who achieved their high school diploma and is interested in an apprenticeship or dual study program at one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers can now apply at Daimler Truck AG. There are a total of 18 future-oriented apprenticeships and nine dual study programs to choose from. In particular, increasing digitalization, the need for IT skills and the growing importance of alternative drive systems play a central role in the design of the apprenticeships and dual study courses. In view of the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry towards emission-free driving, Daimler Truck, for example, is increasingly focusing on professions in the high-voltage sector. The company has been training vehicle mechatronics technicians for system and high-voltage technology for more than five years. In the commercial sector, for example, training as a digitalization management assistant is an innovative and forward-looking option for young professionals. Digital training courses, such as on artificial intelligence, are also an integral part of all vocational training programs.
About vocational training at Daimler Truck
In Germany, Daimler Truck offers apprenticeships at six truck and bus plants as well as 31 commercial vehicle centers and Daimler Buses Service Centers. More than 1,500 young people are currently completing an apprenticeship or dual study program at Daimler Truck AG in Germany. The company also offers a large number of work placements for school pupils and internships or dissertations for students.
