The Karnataka State Budget 2023-24 presented by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr Basavaraj Bommai aims at long-term development. It is a balanced budget with a focus on sectors providing employment. There has been resource allocation for textiles, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, startups etc
Mr Kamal Bali, Deputy Chairman CII Southern Region & Past Chairman CII Karnataka welcomed the budget. “The Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr Basavaraj Press has presented a pro-people budget with focus on the poor and vulnerable sections, as well as farmers, salaried, women and our youth. CII welcomes the budget also because of its impetus on infrastructure, energy transition and industry, with focus on employment. ”
CII Karnataka Chairman Mr Arjun Ranga Managing Director Ranga Rao & Sons said ” CII Karnataka welcomes the budget as a positive budget with the focus on infrastructure development and inclusive growth. As CII we will continue to support and champion initiative which will support entrepreneurship, skill development, sustainability and industrial development in tier 2 and 3 cities.”
Mr Vijaykrishnan Vice Chairman CII Karnataka State Council 2022-23 & Managing Director Kennametal Ltd said that ” The budget proposes a comprehensive development of Bengaluru where the Government has focused on infrastructure, buildings roads to prevent traffic jams and flooding, using AI for traffic management, rural development and social welfare scheme specially for farmers and women is inclusive and progressive.”
Ms Supriya Salian, Chairperson, CII Mysuru Zone welcomed the Karnataka State Budget 2023- 24. “It is good to note that under Sustainable Development of Cities there is proposed construction of Integrated township in Mysuru. Establishment of Ethanol production unit in Mysugar of Mandya is a welcome step to promote industrial growth in the city.”
Mr Vinayak Lokur, Vice Chairman, CII Belagavi District Council, welcomed the Karnataka State Budget 2023- 24. “It is good to see that it’s a positive revenue budget, with large focus on Infrastructure development and schemes for helping farmers., New Industrial cluster will be established in 9 places by Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation (KSSIDC) is a good initiative to support and promote MSME’s.
Mr. Vijesh Saigal, Chairman of the CII Hubballi–Dharwad District Council welcomed the proposal for the development of roads and highways throughout the state as well as skill development for inclusive growth through industrial and entrepreneurship. Also, the budget called for the creation of new industrial estates and Plug and Play industrial parks.
