Bengaluru, 17th May 2023:
Procam International, promoters of the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru, highlighted arrangements in place for the landmark 15th edition that will witness 27,000+ participants #ComeAlive on the Boomerang-shaped route on Sunday, 21st May 2023.
Race Director Hugh Jones spoke about the route to the media on Wednesday “Bengaluru is always a compact race. This city is always changing, and the run is unique because of the gradient that allows runners to make ground in the first 8 kilometers of the race, however the last 2 kilometers is where the winners will be determined. The road segment is often the most eventful segment of the run, and I am looking forward to seeing who emerges victorious.”
Dr Priya Shreedharan, Director, Medical Operations, Fortis Hospitals Bengaluru, outlined the medical facilities available for the participants. “We have left no stone unturned to ensure that we are prepared for the event. We will have a robust team present, including doctors, physiotherapists and paramedics. We will also have medical stations strategically placed across the course and an intensive care unit as well.”
Vivek Singh, Jt MD, Procam International, also spoke on the occasion. He expressed his excitement on being back in Bengaluru for yet another edition of the TCS World 10K. “This event has woven itself into the fabric of not just Bengaluru but across India. We have come such a long way from when we started. The most inspiring thing is the coming together of stakeholders across the board, whether it’s the Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru Police, Karnataka Athletic Association, Fortis or any of our numerous partners, to make this run a tremendous experience for the participants,” he said.
Also present during the event were, A Rajavelu, Honorary Secretary, Karnataka Athletic Association, Mandar Pandya, Vice President and Head of Operations, Procam International and P.N. Sankaran, Director of Operations, Procam International.
