Bangalore, 30 Dec 2022: ISKCON Bangalore will be celebrating Vaikuntha Ekadashi, the first festival of 2023, at Hare Krishna Hill and Vaikuntha Hill on January 2, 2023. This is one of the most important festivals when devotees visit temples to enter the Vaikuntha Dwara. The Vaikuntha Dwara (a special entrance to Vaikuntha) is opened once a year, and it is believed that anyone who enters the Vaikuntha Dwara on this day will attain the divine abode of Lord Vishnu.
The festivities of Vaikuntha Ekadasi at ISKCON Bangalore will commence at 3 am with the enchanting Suprabhata seva for Sri Srinivasa Govinda at Hare Krishna Hill. Various other sevas, like Laksharchana seva and Kalyanotsava, will be performed throughout the day. Special pujas will be conducted to invoke auspiciousness and for the protection and well-being of everyone. The temple will be open to visitors from 8 am onwards.
The newly inaugurated ISKCON Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple at Vaikuntha Hill, Vasanthapura, will celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadashi for the first time. Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda and other presiding deities will be adorned in new garments and fragrant flower garlands on this occasion.
Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa said, “Vaikuntha Ekadashi is the day when the Lord Himself comes to the entrance of the temple to receive His devotees. This year is even more special as we will be celebrating the first Vaikuntha Ekadashi at Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda temple. We fervently pray to the Lord to bless everyone with health, happiness and devotion.”
We request all the devotees to follow COVID-19 guidelines given by the Government during their visit for darshan. The festivities will also be streamed live on the temple’s official website (www.iskconbangalore.org) and social media platforms for the benefit of people worldwide.
