Bengaluru, Jan. 30: With a view to increasing access to justice and bridging the gap at the last mile of the legal system, ‘NYAY’ (organization) has launched the 3rd edition of its flagship Samvidhan Fellowship. It has deployed a team of 18 lawyers for this purpose.
In the third edition, skilled lawyers will provide legal assistance in Bengaluru, Belgaum, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Dakshina Kannada, Davangere, Dharwad, Hassan, Uttara Kannada (Karwar), Koppal, Raichur, and Kalburgi.
Many still find it difficult to access justice due to barriers such as lack of legal information, limited resources, and systemic inequalities that disproportionately affect marginalized communities.
Through the Samvidhan Fellowship, ‘NYA’ continues its mission to close this gap by supporting legal professionals working to extend justice to women, children, gender minorities, and other grassroots communities.

In the last two cohorts in Karnataka, the Samvidhan Fellowship has provided access to justice by conducting over 270 individual legal awareness programs.
Significantly strengthened. Reached over 9,000 women and children across the state. Fellows also supported 132 grievance redressal cases, helping community members access critical welfare schemes and rights.
Speaking on the occasion, Pro Bono said that legal support to underprivileged communities has been further strengthened by taking up 60 cases for litigation (free legal aid). More than 500 legal related issues have been addressed.
