The inauguration of “Mango Mela-2025” was performed by D. S. Ramesh, Director, Horticulture Department. Today and tomorrow, this fair will be a bridge that provides direct connection between mango growers and consumers.
If farmers get a good price from this, consumers will get fresh mangoes at a lower price. He said that the public should take advantage of this.
Dr. K. C. Veeranna, Vice Chancellor, K.P.P.M.V.V., Bidar, who participated as a special guest, spoke and said that not all varieties of mangoes get good prices. He said that organizing such fairs regularly will benefit both farmers and consumers without the hassle of middlemen. The function was presided over by Dr. H. L. Harish, Member of the Governing Body, K.V.V., Bangalore.
Dr. C. G. Nagaraju, Managing Director, Karnataka State Mango Development and Marketing Corporation (N), Bangalore and office bearers and executive members of the Alumni Association were present at the event.
