Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad inaugurated the facility for SAP employees in the region.
Bengaluru, Dec. 18, 2025 — SAP Labs India today announced the opening of a new sports and recreation facility at the SAP Labs India Innovation Park in Bengaluru. The facility was inaugurated by former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad and Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director, SAP Labs India.
Spanning a net built-up area of 2,189 square meters (approximately 23,563 square feet), the new sports block strengthens SAP’s continued focus on building healthier, more active, and more connected workplaces. Designed as a multi-zone environment, the facility offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities catering to diverse fitness levels and interests.
The indoor complex includes two dedicated badminton courts and a multipurpose court that supports both badminton and pickleball. It also features a squash court, a golf simulator, and indoor games such as table tennis, foosball, chess, and billiards. Supporting amenities such as hydration stations, shower-equipped restrooms, and secure lockers ensure a seamless experience for employees before and after their workouts.
Speaking at the unveiling, Sindhu Gangadharan, MD, SAP Labs India, Head of Customer Innovation Services, SAP and Chairperson of nasscom, said, “At SAP Labs India, we design our campuses with people at the center. Health, movement, and overall well-being shape how we think about work and community. This new facility reflects our focus on supporting our people with spaces that encourage fitness, recreation and community engagement. When people feel supported and energized, they are able to innovate and perform at their best.”
The outdoor zones add further depth to the experience, with a futsal court and a bouldering gym for wall climbing. A new multipurpose court for volleyball and basketball will be introduced soon, expanding opportunities for team sports and outdoor engagement. While most zones are already operational, the remaining areas will be activated in phases as part of the broader campus development. The addition of the sports facility reflects SAP’s approach to integrating well-being into workplace design. By creating accessible spaces for movement, play, and social connection, SAP Labs India supports healthier routines and fosters a strong sense of community across the campus.
