“Mr. Vijayashekar Ravi of Deepam Silks was re-elected unanimously as President of The Bangalore Trades Association for the year 2023-24 at the recent AGM of the Association. The Association, incorporated in the British Era, is now into its 125th Year and is kicking off the 125th Year Celebrations on Oct 02nd with a Photo Walk Session on M.G. Road. This will be followed by a Special Wedding Shopping Festival and a Special Deepawali Shopping Bonanza to be announced shortly.
The Association will have a series of a series of programs throughout the year culminating in the 125th Anniversary next October.
Mr. Sreesh R. Babu of Prakruthi Ads was also re-elected Hon. Secretary for the period unanimously. Naveen Pische of P.N. Rao was re-elected Vice President and Mr. Deepak Welling as Hon. Treasurer Unanimously for the same period.
The Committee Members re-elected are Mr. Suresh Desai of Twinkle,
Mr. Inayat Shah, Mr. Omar of Manyavar and Mr. Prasanna of Vijayalakshmi Silks. The Association has planned to “enrol some Special Invitee Members from M.G. Road, Church Street, St. Mark’s Road, Residency Road and surroundings to strengthen the Association from its 125th Year” said the New President in his Thanks Giving Maiden Speech on the occasion.”
The Association has also proposed to bring out a Coffee Table Book specially featuring all the organisations that have been decorating M.G. Road and surrounding Areas for more than 50 years.
