The Directorate of Fisheries has organized the World Fisheries Day and Fish Fair-2025 from November 21 to November 23, 2025, at the premises of the Veterinary College, Hebbal, Bengaluru.
A program of technical seminars, experience sharing by progressive fish farmers, and interaction with agricultural scientists and officials has been organized on November 21st.
The program will be inaugurated and the awards will be presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at 11.00 am on November 22. Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries and Ports and Inland Waterways and Uttara Kannada District In-charge Minister Mankal S Vaidya will preside over the program in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. The program will be attended by the Honorable Urban Development Minister Suresh B.S., Agriculture Minister N. Chaluvarayaswamy, Mines and Earth Sciences, Horticulture Minister S.S. Mallikarjun, Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh, Minor Irrigation and Science and Technology Minister N.S. Bhosaraju, Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly R. Ashok, Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council Chalavadi T. Narayanaswamy, all the honorable members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council and all the chairmen, vice-chairmen and members of the commissions and corporation boards, an official release said.
