BTS 2021 witnessed participation of over 30 Countries, 75+ Conference Sessions, 300+ Speakers, 5000+ Start-Up Attendees, 300+ Exhibitors, 20,000+ Business Attendees and overall Digital Reach to half a million tech enthusiasts.
Bengaluru, November 19, 2021: India’s flagship technology event and Asia’s largest tech summit, The Bengaluru Tech Summit 2021, came to a closure today. Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Minister for Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Govt. of Karnataka, delivered the valedictory speech at the closing ceremony today. Organized by the Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T of the Government of Karnataka and Software Technology Parks of India – Bengaluru, this was the 24th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit and the second hybrid version of the event.
The valedictory function was addressed by Timo Harakka, Minister of Transport and Communications, Finland, Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T; Department of Commerce & Industries, Govt. of Karnataka; and Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Vision Group on Information Technology, Govt. of Karnataka.
Speaking on the occasion of the valedictory ceremony of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2021, Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Govt. of Karnataka said, “Karnataka continues to lead the technology transformation globally. The theme of this year’s Summit, ‘Driving The Next’, has furthered the success of our event from the previous editions. Accelerating the growth of technology and global businesses, despite the challenges of the pandemic, BTS 2021 successfully kindled the spirit of innovation and the need for disruptive tech solutions. The event fostered international engagements and discussions across domains including FinTech, EdTech, Semiconductors, and Biotechnology, among others, in the country. This year, it was a great privilege to have the presence of Hon’ble Vice President of India, . Venkaiah Naidu inaugurate the Summit. The Vice President’s presence and inspiring words encouraged us to deliver nothing but the best during the past three days. Further, we were honoured by the virtual presence of . BTS 2021 is the ideal platform to explore and achieve these goals. The 24th edition of the Summit was conducted under the guidance of the Chairmen and Members of the three Vision Groups on IT, Biotech and Start-ups. BTS is the only event in India which has brought together India’s leading cross sectoral industry organizations like NASSCOM, TiE, ELCIA, IESA, ABAI, ABLE, CLIK and IACC on a common platform. The Summit had leading innovators, scientists and tech evangelists participating from across the globe. Global Innovation Alliance, track hosted 16 sessions by countries like Israel, Japan, Sweden, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Taiwan, Denmark, Netherlands, Lithuania, Switzerland, Vietnam, Finland and EU. Several industry leaders also engaged with the Karnataka tech ecosystem during BTS 2021. The new features added this year included India USA Tech Conclave, India Innovation Alliance, Bengaluru Next Conclave with Leadership Conclave and Startup conclave and showcase of Science Gallery. The CEO Conclave under Bengaluru Next witnessed the top 100 CEOs from IT, ESDM and AVGC sectors deliberating on strategies which will contribute to the vision of India becoming a 5 trillion Dollar economy by 2025. BENGALURU NEXT Innovators Conclave, a special session, witnessed the participation of prominent Bengaluru based startup founders.
