The Bengaluru City Police continues to reinforce its commitment to ensuring the safety,
security, and well-being of all residents through comprehensive initiatives like Women’s safety,
anti-narcotics operations, traffic management, cybercrime prevention, and enhanced public
reporting and mitigation mechanisms. On 1st Dec 2025, 750 PSI and above officers will be
visiting approximately 1,250 Schools and Colleges addressing approximately 2.5 lakh students of
Bangalore City to create awareness about the following;
1. Strengthened Measures for Women’s Safety;
Dedicated Women Helpline 1090, Increased surveillance Hoysala Patrol, Safety Islands
and Safe Connect through KSP App and 112 Calls, Neravu Kendra and Chennamma Pade
.2. Anti-Narcotics Operations to Curb Drug Abuse;
The City Police has intensified anti-narcotics enforcement to curb the menace of drug abuse
and dismantle peddling networks operating within Bengaluru.
Awareness about how to report anonymously through Drug Free Karnataka app, and toll
free Helpline 1933 for reporting and functions of Anti Narcotics Committee at School and
colleges.
3. Traffic Management and Road Safety;
To ensure smooth vehicular movement and reduce road accidents, Bengaluru Traffic Police
continues to undertake major reforms and enforcement activities:
Safety and accident prevention tips, Golden Hour discipline, traffic Violation reporting etc
through Astram App and the social media handles of Bangalore Traffic Police.
4. Crackdown on Cybercrimes;
Bengaluru City Police Cyber Crime units have intensified efforts to detect, track, and
apprehend cyber criminals involved in online fraud, financial scams, identity theft, and other
digital offences.
Public awareness campaigns on digital safety and fraud prevention through Cyber Helpline
1930, Online reporting portals and social media handle to report financial fraud, Women and
Child online Sexual abuse/Cyber Stalking and other cyber crimes.
5. Reporting Mechanisms for All Types of Crimes;
To ensure that citizens can easily access police services and report offences, Bengaluru
City Police promotes the following official channels:
