Bengaluru to Host Asia’s Largest Space Expo as India Targets $44B Space Market by 2033
BENGALURU — The 9th edition of the Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX) 2026 kicked off today at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) [7-9 September]. Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with ISRO, IN-SPACe, and NSIL, this year’s expo is the largest to date under the theme “Harnessing Space for Global Progress: Innovation, Policy, and Growth.”
The three-day event spotlights India’s rapidly expanding space economy—currently valued at USD 8.4 billion and projected to hit USD 44 billion by 2033, driven by over 400 space-tech startups and progressive policy reforms.
