Billion Hearts Beating Foundation, Apollo Hospitals and Marsh India, Join Hands to Strengthen Emergency Medical Response in Vanagaram
Chennai, 24 September 2026: Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Vanagaram launched two advanced life-support Smart ambulances as part of a collaborative initiative between, Billion Hearts Beating Foundation (BHB) Apollo Hospitals, and Marsh India to strengthen emergency medical response and improve access to timely critical care in Vanagaram and surrounding communities.
The initiative is being supported under Marsh India’s CSR programme, with the Billion Hearts Beating Foundation serving as the Project Implementing Partner and Apollo Hospitals providing clinical and emergency-care expertise. Together, the three organisations are working to strengthen the continuum of emergency care – from the point of distress and pre-hospital intervention to definitive treatment at the hospital.
The two advanced life-support ambulances have already been deployed for special medical camps across Vanagaram, supporting emergency preparedness and extending healthcare services closer to communities.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, CEO – Chennai Region, Apollo Hospitals said, “Our commitment has always been to strengthen the chain of emergency care, both inside and outside the hospital.
