Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Announces New Sponsors for Karnataka State Teams; Unveils New Team Jersey at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
Bengaluru, October 1, 2026: The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) today announced a significant new partnership for the Karnataka State Cricket Teams with the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (KSTDC) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), marking the beginning of a new chapter in Karnataka cricket.
The partnership was formally announced at a special ceremony held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, which also witnessed the unveiling of the new Karnataka State Team jersey for the 2026–27 season.
The association brings together three important pillars of Karnataka — sport, tourism and power infrastructure — and reflects a shared commitment towards promoting sporting excellence, strengthening Karnataka’s cricketing ecosystem and showcasing the State and its institutions on a wider platform.
The occasion was graced by K. J. George, Minister for Energy & Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and District In-charge Minister, Chikkamagaluru; M. Srinivas, Hon’ble Chairman, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited; Dr. V. Ram Prasath Manohar, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited; and Shiva Prasad P. R., Commissioner, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, and Managing Director, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
The distinguished guests were welcomed and honoured by the management of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, led by its President, B. K. Venkatesh Prasad, in the presence of KSCA Office Bearers, Managing Committee Members, cricketers, officials and other invitees.
New Karnataka Team Jersey Unveiled
The highlight of the occasion was the formal unveiling of the new Karnataka State Cricket Team jersey by K. J. George.
Joining him for the unveiling were prominent India and Karnataka cricketers Mayank Agarwal, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Karun Nair, representing Karnataka’s rich cricketing tradition and the State’s continuing contribution to Indian cricket.
The new jersey is more than a fresh sporting identity for Karnataka’s teams. It symbolises a new beginning and a meaningful association between Karnataka cricket and two important State institutions — the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
Through this partnership, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited will have an opportunity to showcase Karnataka’s rich tourism potential through the powerful platform of cricket, while the association with the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited reflects the support of one of the State’s key infrastructure institutions towards Karnataka’s sporting ecosystem.
Cricket enjoys a special place in the hearts of people across Karnataka, and the State has a distinguished history of producing outstanding cricketers who have represented both Karnataka and India with distinction. The partnership therefore provides an important platform for bringing together the reach and popularity of cricket with the identity, institutions and aspirations of Karnataka.
A Partnership Beyond Sponsorship
For KSCA, the association goes beyond conventional sponsorship. It represents a broader partnership built around a common objective of supporting excellence, providing greater visibility to Karnataka cricket and strengthening the environment in which the State’s cricketers can continue to perform and progress at the highest levels.
With the logos of the new sponsors prominently represented on the Karnataka State Team jersey, the partnership will receive visibility through Karnataka’s participation in domestic cricket competitions across the country during the 2026–27 season.
KSCA believes that partnerships of this nature play an important role in further strengthening domestic cricket and providing sustained support to players and teams across various age groups and formats.
The Association expressed its appreciation to the Government of Karnataka, the Department of Tourism, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation Limited and Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited for their support and for associating with Karnataka cricket.
KSCA also acknowledged the encouragement extended by K. J. George and the senior officials of the Government and the sponsoring institutions in bringing the partnership to fruition.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association looks forward to building a strong, enduring and mutually meaningful relationship with its new partners and to working together to promote Karnataka’s sporting excellence, tourism potential and institutional strengths.
As Karnataka’s teams begin another competitive season, the new jersey and the new partnership represent a renewed sense of purpose — carrying forward the proud legacy of Karnataka cricket while creating new opportunities for its future generations of cricketers.
