Bangalore Agricultural University, under the All India Integrated Project (Seed Crops) has developed a first-of-its-kind online seed sales website.
www.uasgkvkseeds.org at Beejalatana Farmers can register and directly purchase sowing seeds. Mandatory entry of full address, correct pin code while registering and payment of sowing seed amount through online google pay, phone pay etc.
Sowing seeds will be supplied at the doorsteps of farmers through the postal department. The 10 districts covered by the University of Agriculture, Bangalore are available in various crops such as millet, paddy, sorghum, pea, sorghum, true seed and standard sowing seed and hybrid sunflower seed for oilseed crops.
Interested farmers can sow seed through National Seed Project (NSP), Agricultural Technology Information Center (ATIC), GKVK, and Agricultural Science Centers Chamarajanagar, Kandali, Hassan, Chintamani and Zone Agriculture. Research Centre, VC Farm, Mandya and Ragi Brahma Laknaniah Navararaitha Advisory Center APMC Yard, Mandya can be purchased from the centres, the release said.
