During the event at IIMB on Sunday, various leaders from Global Capability Centres (GCCs) delved into ‘The Talent War: Strategies for Winning Top Performers.’ They emphasised the potential for defence officers to transition into the corporate sector. The discussion highlighted the demand for individuals who are adaptable, flexible, disciplined, and adept at problem solving qualities inherent in defence personnel. The event aimed to enhance collaboration between defence officers and industry leaders, focusing on themes of diversity and the future of work. On the sidelines of the event, the leaders said most companies are looking for experienced talent of veterans.

The successful outcome of the conference was the unanimous consensus among the participants that there is a requirement of structured and organised efforts by all corporates to have a veterans hiring program that will bridge the awareness gap between the corporates and the veterans.
Veterans are prepared teammates who will integrate seamlessly into the organizations with minimal support.
