Equipment Depot celebrated its 64th Raising Day to commemorate its remarkable journey from a modest beginning on 03th February 1960 to becoming an important depot in providing supply chain management support to the Indian Air Force to execute its role and task both in peace and war. Air Commodore Manoj Kumar, Air Officer Commanding extended his heartfelt felicitations to all the air veterans, air warriors, civilians and their families on this occasion.
In the run-up to the Raising Day, family members of the depot personnel were taken around the depot.
With a view to honour the contribution of the air veterans for rendering yeoman’s service to the cause of the nation, a lunch was organised on 10th February 2024. After the cake cutting ceremony the participating veterans shared their rich experience of yesteryear and also appreciated the various welfare measures initiated by the depot.
To make this event memorable for air warriors and their families, a cultural show and sports events were organised on 17 February 2024 wherein an active participation of the families of air warriors and civilians posted at the Depot was witnessed. Air Commodore Manoj Kumar,
Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Bengaluru was the guest of honour for the event. He presented the gifts to the participants. Ladies and children were conducted to different sites of the Depot to show them the working environment which made them realise the important role of this Depot in the supply chain management of IAF.
