ISKCON Bangalore celebrated Vaikuntha Ekadashi at Hare Krishna Hill and Vaikuntha Hill with much grandeur. 2023 is very special to the devotees of ISKCON Bangalore as they commenced the New Year with the first Vaikuntha Ekadashi celebration at the recently inaugurated Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda temple.
The celebrations began at 3 am with Suprabhata seva to the deity of Govinda at both temples. This was followed by an elaborate abhisheka with milk, fruit juices and naturally scented water. The shrine of Srinivasa Govinda was decorated with a variety of flowers and other auspicious items.
The deities of Radha and Krishnachandra were decorated in Lakshmi Narayana alankara and seated on Ananta Sesha on the Vaikuntha Dwara to bless the devotees. The festivities included Kalyanotsava, the divine marriage of Sri Krishna with His consorts Rukmini and Satyabhama. Laksharchana seva was also performed by various groups of devotees chanting 1 lakh names of Lord Krishna throughout the day.
Kunkumarchana seva was performed to the deity of Srimati Rajalakshmi Padmavati Devi at Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple on this occasion. Darshan was open to visitors till 10 pm and more than 70000 laddus were prepared to be distributed in both the temples. Prasadam was served to all the visitors throughout the day.
