Bengaluru 2nd March 2020 : Häfele, the international leader in interior functionality, revealed a fresh range of interior products using an innovative ‘Inside the Box’ concept at India Wood 2020. The ‘Inside the Box’ concept was conceived to break the stereotypical mindset of constraints that are associated with living in smaller spaces especially in metro cities where real estate prices are skyrocketing. Created using chipboard to give a packaging material look from the outside, the booth allowed visitors to visualize a premium standard of living using high-end multi-functional products that serve more than one purpose, hence saving on space and investment.
Through an extensive display spread across 300 sqms of stall space, Häfele illustrated how clever solutions can be used to transform homes to get more utility out of the available space. Mr. Jurgen Wolf, Managing Director, Häfele South Asia, said, “We discussed a few ideas with architect Ketan Chavan to reveal the space-saving furniture and finally narrowed down to creating this unique space that would look like a tool-shed from the outside. While it fits in perfectly well the brand persona of Häfele, the concept also encourages sustainable living in its own right.” While toying with the concept, Häfele managed to answer many questions raised around the mega trend of micro-living that presents itself as the ideal solution to the ever-decreasing home spaces and constantly increasing real estate prices in metro cities across the globe.
