India-Georgia cultural festival will allow exchange of art, culture – Anju Ranjan

Bengaluru, January 25, (Karnataka News) :

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Deputy Director General Anju Ranjan said that the India-Georgia Cultural Festival will help in enriching the art, culture and bond between the two countries.
He was speaking at the India-Georgia Cultural Festival organized by BEST Innovation University Andhra Pradesh, India Foundation New Delhi, Department of Tourism Andhra Pradesh, Georgia Non-Government Cultural Organization, World Educational Forum at a private hotel in the city today.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations has been organizing conferences to spread art and culture across the country. Pravasi also participated in Bharat Divas. The Council has played an important role in foreign cultural delegation visits, art and cultural gatherings, exchange programmes. Even without government financial assistance, the program has also been successful in private partnership. He said that such programs are helpful in establishing good relations with foreign countries.

Joint Secretaries of Union Ministry of External Affairs and former Ambassadors of Georgia K.D. Deval said, Georgia is rich in art and culture. Winemaking there has a history of eight thousand years. He said that India is also a rapidly developing country and cultural exchange with a country like Georgia can benefit a lot.

India Foundation New Delhi Director Dr. Ram Madhav said that knowing Georgia’s art, art form, music and literature will help in bringing these two countries closer because the heartbeat of each nation is their culture. We should respect this culture, we should nurture it, India’s ambassador should be posted to Georgia. India is growing economically, socially, culturally and politically. He said that through such a cultural exchange festival, art and culture can be made known to others and efforts can be made to save them.
