Bengaluru: BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra announced that an overnight sit-in protest against the Congress government’s price hikes will begin at Freedom Park, Bengaluru, on April 2 at 11 AM.
Speaking to media representatives at the BJP state office, Jagannath Bhavan in Malleswaram, he stated that all BJP MLAs, Legislative Council members, former MLAs, candidates from the last Assembly elections, district presidents, and all state office bearers would participate in the overnight protest.
Protest in Front of Kengal Statue
On the last day of the Assembly session, the Speaker suspended 18 BJP MLAs for six months. Vijayendra criticized this decision, calling the Speaker’s authoritarian stance unacceptable. He announced that on April 2 in the morning, all BJP MLAs and MLCs would stage a protest in front of the Kengal statue near Vidhana Soudha and submit a petition to the Speaker.says release.
