In view of the passenger rush during the Deepavali festival, South Western Railway will operate a special one-way train service from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.
Train No. 08544 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 3:50 PM on October 22, 2025. The train will stop at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akividu, Bhimavaram, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Elamanchili, and Duvvada stations before reaching Visakhapatnam Station at 1:30 PM on October 23, 2025.
In view of the expected heavy rush of passengers during the Deepavali Festival, South Western Railway has decided to run special express trains as detailed below:
1. Train No. 06235/06236 Yesvantpur–Banaras–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special (Two Trips):
Train No. 06235 Yesvantpur – Banaras Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 07:00 hrs on 19.10.2025 & 26.10.2025 (Sunday), and will reach at Banaras at 05:00 hrs on Tuesday. In the return direction, Train No. 06236 Banaras – Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will depart from Banaras at 12:15 hrs on 22.10.2025 and 29.10.2025 (Wednesday), and will arrive Bengaluru Cantonment at 05:00 hrs on Friday.
En route stoppages: Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool City, Mahabubnagar, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Madan Mahal, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, and Varanasi stations.
The special train will consist of 23 coaches, comprising 2 AC 2-Tier, 5 AC 3-Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 SLR/D coach.
2. Train No. 06261/06262 Yesvantpur–Muzaffarpur–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special (One Trips):
Train No. 06261 Yesvantpur – Muzaffarpur Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 07:00 hrs on 22.10.2025 (Wednesday) and will reach Muzaffarpur at 12:00 hrs on Friday. In the return direction, Train No. 06262 Muzaffarpur – Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will depart from Muzaffarpur at 23:45 hrs on 24.10.2025 (Friday) and will arrive Bengaluru Cantonment at 06:30 hrs on Monday.
En route stoppages: Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Dhone, Mahabubnagar, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn., Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur and Hajipur stations.
The special train will consist of 23 coaches, comprising First-cum-Second AC coach, 3 AC 2-Tier, 1 AC 3-Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 SLR/D coach.
In view of the expected heavy rush of passengers during the Deepavali Festival, East Central Railway has notified the operation of special express trains between Darbhanga–Yesvantpur for five trips to clear the festive rush. The details are as follows:
1. Train No. 05541/05542 Darbhanga–Yesvantpur–Darbhanga Express Special (Five Trips):
Train No. 05541 Darbhanga-Yesvantpur Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 15:35 hrs every Monday from 20.10.2025 to 17.11.2025 and will arrive Yesvantpur at 02:30 hrs on Thursday. In the return direction, Train No. 05542 Yesvantpur – Darbhanga Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 14:15 hrs every Thursday from 23.10.2025 to 20.11.2025 and will reach Darbhanga at 04:30 hrs on Sunday.
En route stoppages: Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Sonpur, Chhapra, Siwan, Deoria Sadar, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Aishbagh, Kanpur Central, Orai, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Bina, Bhopal, Itarsi, Amla, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Ramagundam, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Mahabubnagar, Dhone, Dharmavaram, Hindupur and Yelahanka stations.
The special train will consist of 24 coaches, comprising 8 AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 8 General Second Class and 2 SLR/D coach.
Special Train Service between Mysuru and Jaipur for Deepavali Festival
To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Deepavali festival, the Railway Board has approved the operation of Special Express Trains between Mysuru and Jaipur for two trips in each direction. The details are as follows:
Train No. 06231 Mysuru–Jaipur Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 23:55 hrs on October 18 and 25, 2025, and arrive at Jaipur at 18:40 hrs on the following Monday.
In the return direction, Train No. 06232 Jaipur–Mysuru Express Special will depart from Jaipur at 04:00 hrs on October 21 and 28, 2025, and arrive at Mysuru at 03:30 hrs on the following Thursday.
En route, the train will have stoppages at Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Kadur, Davangere, SSS Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghataprabha, Miraj, Sangli, Satara, Pune, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Palghar, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati BG, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Rani, Marwar, Sojat Road, Beawar, Ajmer, and Kishangarh stations in both directions.
However, Train No. 06231 will skip the Sabarmati BG halt on its journey towards Jaipur, and Train No. 06232 will skip the Ahmedabad halt on its return journey towards Mysuru.
The special train will consist of 18 coaches, comprising 2 AC Two-Tier, 12 AC Three-Tier, 2 Sleeper Class, and 2 Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Vans.
