Bengaluru, May 16 (Karnataka News):
District Home Guard, Bangalore South District, Bangalore invites applications from interested local citizens of Bangalore city to fill the vacant positions of Home Guard Volunteers.
Candidates who have passed SSLC examination and are between the age of minimum 19 years and maximum 45 years can apply. Should be in good health and physically fit. Local citizens of Bangalore city should have official documents of residence such as Aadhaar card, rent/lease agreement. Candidates residing at an address falling under the jurisdiction of Bangalore South District Office will be given priority. First preference will be given to Kannada fingerprint experts, vehicle drivers, those with knowledge of cooking, electrician, plumber, garden work and other skills.
Home Guard membership is not a permanent post. They are entitled to a daily duty allowance of Rs. 600 for duties assigned to various government departments and Rs. 800 for duties assigned to police departments/special duties.
Candidates who wish to become volunteer members can obtain application forms free of cost from the office of the Commissioner, Home Guard, Bangalore South District, Shemádri Road, near Freedom Park, on working days till May 30th by presenting original copies of SSLC marksheet and Aadhaar card/Electoral ID card/Recent gas receipt as proof of local residence.
