Journalist Dr Anubha Jain Honoured by Karnataka Chambers as a Leading Woman in Chamber Leadership
Senior journalist and Additional Honorary Secretary of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Dr. Anubha Jain, was honoured at the fifth edition of the FKCCI-UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations programme, “Together We Grow,” held at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Bengaluru on September 2nd, 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by D. K. Shivakumar, Chief Minister of Karnataka, and was organised at the FKCCI premises in Bengaluru. Dr. Jain was felicitated with a shield and shawl by Smt. K. Ratnaprabha, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka and Founder President of the UBUNTU Consortium; Smt. Uma Reddy, the first woman President of FKCCI in its 110-year history and its current President; Shri Sai Ram Prasad, Vice President-elect, FKCCI; and other FKCCI office-bearers. The honour recognised Dr. Jain’s leadership, contributions to journalism and public advocacy, and her association with chamber of commerce and industry initiatives. Dr. Jain was among eight selected women office-bearers holding key leadership positions in Chambers of Commerce and Industry across different parts of India who were honoured at the programme.
It may be noted that Dr. Anubha Jain is a senior editor and journalist based in Bengaluru, covering Space, Science and Technology. She is the daughter of veteran journalist Late Shri Dheerendra Jain.
The fifth edition of “Together We Grow” brought together women leaders and representatives from various chambers and business organisations from across the country. The programme highlighted the importance of collaboration, collective leadership and the growing participation of women in the business and industry ecosystem.
Representing the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Jain’s participation underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation and networking among chambers across states, while creating new opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women leaders in the industry.
As part of the exchange of ideas, Dr. Jain presented her coffee-table book, “Women Leaders in Rajasthan Legislature – Since 1952,” to Smt. Uma Reddy, President, FKCCI. Authored by Dr. Jain, the book chronicles the political journey and contributions of women Chief Ministers, State Ministers and women legislators in Rajasthan, from the first Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 1952 to the 14th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, while also highlighting the 33% women’s reservation bill and other key issues related to women’s leadership and empowerment. Smt. Reddy presented Dr. Jain with a booklet on the FKCCI Mysore Chapter at the FKCCI Chamber office. The exchange symbolised goodwill between the two institutions and their shared commitment to strengthening women’s leadership and chamber activities.
Dr. Jain’s felicitation reflects the growing recognition of women’s leadership in India’s chamber and industry ecosystem and underscores the need for stronger platforms for collaboration, representation and collective growth.
