KLIA, March 2019: Amal by Malaysia Airlines, a pilgrim-centric service dedicated for Hajj and Umrah, recently entered an agreement with Tabung Haji’s Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre, KLIA to provide transit accommodation for Umrah pilgrims.
The agreement was signed between Hazman Hilmi Sallahuddin, Chief Executive Officer of Amal, and Hairul Maharis, General Manager of Movenpick Hotel and Convention Centre at the Movenpick Hotel, KLIA. The signing was witnessed by Nazlina Mohd Isa, Director of Sales Movenpick Hotel, KLIA and Yazid Mohamad, Head of Commercial, Amal.
This collaboration will allow pilgrims originating from different points in the country and region, to enjoy comfort and convenient resting facilities during their stopover in Kuala Lumpur before continuing their journey to Jeddah or Madinah on Malaysia Airlines’ flights.
This service will be applicable for those continuing their journey on Amal to Jeddah or Madinah from KLIA and can be arranged through their Umrah travel agents.

The transit accommodation would also provide an option for Indonesian pilgrims interested in a ziarah package, which includes hotel accommodation at Movenpick Hotel, KLIA. The collaboration aims to further promote Malaysia as a tourism destination.
Mӧvenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA is owned by Lembaga Tabung Haji. This newly-built upscale hotel stands next to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 7 minutes away from Sepang International Circuit and 5 minutes from Mitsui Premium Outlet.
