Hero MotoSports Team Rally continued its solid run in the Second Leg of the Desert Storm Rally with C S Santosh keeping the pressure on to retain his 2nd place. Focussed on getting into a good rhythm, Santosh has already delivered two flawless stages so far.
Leg 2 was again split into two special stages of 78 km and 38 km respectively, taking the rally from Bikaner to arrive at Jaisalmer where the remainder of the stages will be held. Yesterday’s heat and weather conditions took a toll on many riders who could not finish the leg, grappling with many issues ranging from technical failures to sheer exhaustion.
The Third Leg will pose the toughest challenge yet, with the longest stage of 190 kms to be done in the famous dunes of Sam region in Jaisalmer. It will be a crucial stage in deciding the final standings of the rally.
C S Santosh, Rider, Hero MotoSports Team Rally said “It was a much cooler day as compared to Bikaner, so we had better riding conditions on the offer. I felt better and rode better as well so I am happy with the way I am progressing. Tomorrow is a long stage of 190kms and it’s the same stage where I had crashed last year. My focus will be to see the back of the stage tomorrow and then we will see what happens.”
