Applications have been invited from eligible candidates for one-year apprenticeship training for the post of Technician Apprentice – Library and Information Science at the Karnataka Government Secretariat Library for the year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
A total of four posts are vacant. Candidates who have completed a three-year Diploma in Library and Information Science are eligible to apply. Selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of ₹10,900. of this, ₹5,450 will be contributed by the State Government, while the remaining ₹5,450 will be directly credited to the candidates’ bank accounts by the Board of Apprenticeship.
Only candidates who obtained the prescribed educational qualification after May 2024 are eligible for the training. Selection will be based on the candidates’ merit in the marks secured and in accordance with the Government’s reservation rules. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply.
Interested candidates should submit the duly filled application along with their name, address, mobile number, e-mail ID and attested photocopies of SSLC certificate, caste certificate and Diploma marks card/provisional certificate on or before September 5, 2026, either in person or by post.
