It was decided to organize the Bengaluru International Film Festival from February 29 to March 7 in the Bengaluru International Film Festival Organizing Committee meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Addressing a press conference after the organizing committee meeting held today at the Chief Minister’s Home Office Complex, the Chief Minister said that the 15th edition of the International Film Festival was inaugurated on the evening of February 29 in front of Vidhan Soudha. He informed that this film festival is a film festival which has been recognized abroad and not only foreign films will be screened, but also various Indian films including Kannada will be screened and the closing ceremony will be held on March 7 and the Governor will give awards on that day.
Along with the organizing committee meeting, a core committee is also formed and it is decided how the ceremony should be organized. Messages of communalism, peace, equality, gender equality, harmony, humanity should reach the society. The film festival will be held with more emphasis on diversity. The Chief Minister said that the government will provide the necessary financial assistance to make it more popular.
Earlier, the inauguration of the International Film Festival was held in front of the Vidhana Soudha. Famous artists of foreign cinema are being invited. He said that this was discussed in today’s meeting and he is confident that the International Film Festival will be successful this time too.
