BENGALURU, 5 July 2026: Bengaluru Blasters continued their impressive run in the DACSS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 with a commanding eight-wicket victory over Mysore Warriors at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday. Riding on Nischith N Rao’s four-wicket haul and Krishnan Shrijith’s unbeaten half-century, the Blasters registered their eighth victory of the season.
Chasing 149, the Blasters got off to a flying start with openers Bhuvan Mohan Raju (10 off 11) and Rohan Patil (34 off 15) adding 47 runs in just 3.3 overs. Although both departed inside the powerplay, Shrijith and Samit Dravid ensured there were no further setbacks, sharing an unbeaten partnership to guide the side home in just 14.4 overs.
Shrijith remained unbeaten on 57 off 37 balls, striking six boundaries, while Dravid chipped in with an assured 40 not out off 25 deliveries, including a four and three sixes, as the Blasters completed the chase with 32 balls to spare.
The victory took Bengaluru Blasters to 16 points from nine matches, further consolidating their position at the top of the table after already securing Qualifier 1. Mysore Warriors remained fourth with seven points from nine matches, with the race for the remaining three playoff spots continuing to intensify.
Earlier, Bengaluru Blasters elected to bowl and struck at regular intervals to dismiss Mysore Warriors for 148 in 19.4 overs. Nischith N Rao led the charge with figures of 4/34, reducing the Warriors to 36/3 inside the powerplay and leaving them on the back foot.
K P Karthikeya contributed 36 runs before Manoj Bhandage provided a late flourish with 38 off 17 balls, striking three fours and three sixes. He combined with Abhishek Prabhakar (11 off 5) for a quickfire 38-run stand for the eighth wicket to lift the Warriors after a difficult start.
Captain Shubhang Hegde and Samit Dravid chipped in with two wickets apiece to round off another disciplined bowling performance from the Blasters.
