The Dream Sports Championship’s Bengaluru leg witnessed a goal-fest as both Chennaiyin FC and Bengaluru FC registered identical 5-0 victories in their respective matches at the Padukone – Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence on Tuesday.
Chennaiyin FC delivered a dominant performance, securing a convincing 5-0 victory over Young Blues Elite FC. The Marina Machans scored all five goals in the first half to effectively seal the match before the break. Captain Laishram Suraj Singh led the team with strikes in the 20th and 24th minute. Notable performances from Abinash Singh (4), who scored the opener, alongside MD Musharaf (18) and Sahir MS (26), helped the team to victory.
The second game had a similar scoreline, this time in favour of Bengaluru FC. They secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools-Bengaluru. BFC took control of the match with two first-half goals before adding three more after the break. The side had five different goalscorers, with Niwash Limbu (12), Givenson Suting (42), Saarang Chary (64), Atharv Ranadevi (87) and Yuvan LK (90+1) finding the net.
