30 July 2018, Sofia, Bulgaria – European IT services provider and approved AWS Solution Provider and Cloud Consulting specialists R&D Solutions are delighted to report a highly successful ICT technology event in the UK, as official participants of the Bulgarian Embassy in London. The roadshow was the first of its kind bringing 17 leading Bulgarian IT companies with close to 30 delegates and was included in the official programme of London Tech Week and the International Business Festival in Liverpool. Organised by the British Bulgarian Business Association in partnership with the Sofia Investment Agency, R&D Solutions used the unique opportunity to meet key innovators and leading UK organisations.
R&D’s business development executive Vladislav Ognyanov who was part of the delegation reflects, “We felt very privileged to be a part of this dynamic and historic event in light of Brexit approaching. It has been an extremely positive experience participating in this high-profile series of events which gave us leverage and excellent access to influential contacts at governmental level. While we were in London, we met Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce UK members, which is the 5th largest accredited chamber in the UK with over 4000 members from one of the world’s most impressive and vibrant international business communities. The programme also included an event hosted by the Gatwick Chamber of Commerce whereby British and Bulgarian companies held face-to-face meetings to learn about each other’s IT sectors.”
The R&D Solutions team attended many other interesting presentations including a visit to the TechXLR8 show, Cloud & DevOps World, Internet of Things World, Digital CX World, Blockchain 360 and Project Kairos with focus on specialist fields such as the Cloud, AI, AR, VR, IoT and Blockchain. The roadshow continued in Liverpool, where the Bulgarian delegation joined the International Business Festival and met with representatives of Northern Powerhouse, Sci-tech Daresbury to discuss the potential for cooperation. Sci-Tech Daresbury is internationally recognised for world-class science, innovation and enterprise where the UK Super computer is located. A dynamic campus supporting high-tech companies to accelerate the growth of their business through innovation, collaboration and access to world-class technology facilities and business support.
R&D Solutions also paid a visit to Liverpool Science Park situated at the heart of Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter and home to a community of like-minded and ambitious innovators, developers and scientists, that create clusters of companies that complement one another, rather than compete. The community is built on people with start-ups and blue-chip companies working together to create opportunities. The park is also home to LJMU’s Astrophysics Research Institute and Telescope Team. Aside from the central location, its progressive links with each institute reinforce technology companies and help them reap the benefits by providing access to their specialist equipment, library services and sports centres.
