Bengaluru, July 1, 2025 — Dinesh Gundu Rao, Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, delivered the keynote address at the inaugural session of the Second Edition CII Karnataka Healthcare Conclave held in Bengaluru today.
In his address, the Minister emphasized “Healthcare is fundamental to a healthy society. While the challenges are many — including high costs — our government remains focused on key areas like: preventive health, curative care, and wellness,” he said. Highlighting the state’s commitment, Rao noted that the Government of Karnataka has allocated 4% of the state budget to healthcare, reflecting the Chief Minister’s prioritization of the sector. “Our aim is to ensure that quality healthcare is accessible and affordable to every citizen,” he added.
“The Government of Karnataka is working tirelessly to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem and deliver services that are equitable, efficient, and future-ready,” Rao concluded.
Dr. Sharan Shivaraj Patil, Chairman and Managing Director, Sparsh Hospitals highlighted technology as “The Bridge to Scale,” enabling AI-assisted diagnostics, teleconsultations, remote monitoring, and robotic surgeries to deliver universal, world-class care. He stressed that technology “Equalizes Access and Elevates Outcomes.”
Dr. Patil affirmed the state as a prime “Launchpad for Health Innovation.” He declared, “Karnataka is not just participating in India’s healthcare revolution—It is poised to lead it,” emphasizing the “Power of Government-Enabled Ecosystems” for innovation. He unveiled Karnataka’s “Vision 2030 – 4Q Healthcare Model,” focusing on Quality, Quantified, Quick Access, and Quintessentially Indian care.
Mr Rabindra Srikantan, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council & Managing Director, ASM Technologies Ltd today outlined CII Karnataka’s commitment to advancing the state’s healthcare sector. He stated that the CII Karnataka Healthcare Taskforce aims to make the state globally competitive through Policy Advocacy, Thought Leadership, Learning & Development, and AI-Led Transformation. Mr. Srikantan acknowledged key challenges: urban-rural access disparities, skilled professional shortages, inadequate public infrastructure, and hurdles in digital health adoption. He also highlighted issues with mental health services and lifestyle disease management. “I urge all to engage and collaborate towards making Karnataka a leader in healthcare,” Mr. Srikantan concluded, congratulating the Taskforce’s leadership in successfully conducting the second edition of CII Karnataka Healthcare Conclave 2025.

Against this backdrop, the CII Karnataka Healthcare Taskforce is hosting its second Healthcare Conclave. In this conclave detailed deliberations have been done on healthcare infrastructure, people, technology, diagnostics, life style diseases. Policy needs in fostering medical value travel, preventive medicine and encouraging to set up R&D facilities have also been discussed. This platform brings together stakeholders to deliberate on key issues, aiming to form a clear “Roadmap of Growth & Development” for Karnataka’s healthcare sector.
The Second CII Karnataka Healthcare Conclave served as a powerful testament to Karnataka’s ambition and collective resolve to transform its healthcare landscape. With strong governmental backing, innovative private sector engagement, and a clear vision for the future, the state is poised to overcome existing challenges and emerge as a global leader in healthcare. The collaborative spirit fostered at the Conclave, focusing on technology, equitable access, and sustainable growth, reinforces the shared commitment to ensuring quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare for every citizen, truly making Karnataka a solution provider to the world.
The conclave drew over 100 industry CXOs and stakeholders from across sectors, including key representatives from leading healthcare organizations. Notable attendees included Kauvery Hospitals, Siemens Healthineers, Narayana Health, Athulya, KITES Senior Care, American Air Filter (AAF), and Apollo Hospitals.
