As part of the Independence Day celebrations in August 2026, the 220th Flower Show themed “The Glory of Sri Ganga Empire – The First Dynasty of Karnataka” is being organized at the famous Lalbagh Botanical Gardens in Bengaluru from August 06 to 17, 2026.
On the occasion of this year’s Fruit and Flower Show, the Horticulture Department has invited applications for various competitions and allocation of departmental stalls for government and private ornamental horticultural enthusiasts, the general public and institutions.
Competitions have been organized for gardens, orchards, terrace or hand gardens, vegetable and medicinal plants, potted plants, as well as ikebana, zoology, Thai art, vegetable carving and other complementary arts within the confines of homes, offices or institutions.
Interested parties and exhibitors can collect applications from the designated offices during office hours, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Applications for the competition will be distributed from July 27, 2026 to August 04, 2026, and the last date for submission of applications is August 04, 2026.

Applications for various parks, gardens and potted plants competitions will be distributed from July 27, 2026 to August 04, 2026 and the last date for submission of applications is August 06, 2026.

Applications for the allotment of departmental stores will be distributed on 27th and 28th July 2026 and the last date for submission of applications is 31st July 2026.
