Justice Smt. Tara Vitasta Ganju was sworn in as a Judge of the Karnataka High Court today at the High Court auditorium. The oath was administered by the Honorable Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Vibhu Bakhru.
By a notification dated October 14 the Central Government had notified the transfer of Justice Ganju from Delhi High Court to Karnataka High Court.. After serving in the Delhi High Court for more than 3 years, she has now been transferred to the High Court of Karnataka.
Mittal Code, President of the Karnataka State Bar Council, welcomed the new judges and extended a warm welcome on behalf of the Karnataka State Bar Council and personally.He said that full cooperation will be extended in the efforts to provide justice under the law and equality.
On this occasion, the judges of the Bangalore, Dharwad and Kalaburagi Division Benches, Advocate General of Karnataka K. Shashikiran Shetty, Additional Solicitor General K. Aravind Kamath, Assistant Solicitor General, Karnataka State Bar Council Vice President Vinay B., senior lawyers and others were present.
Hon’ble Justice Smt. Tara Vitasta Ganju was born on August 12, 1971 in New Delhi. She did her high school education from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi in 1989. She graduated in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi in 1992. She later completed her Law degree from the Law Department of Delhi University in 1995,later on was admitted as an advocate to the Bar Council of Delhi on August 3, 1995.
