On December 30, 2025, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah released the state’s official 2026 calendar and diary. This follows the Karnataka government’s prior release of the public holiday list for the year.
The annual calendar and diary are administrative publications that list government holidays and provide planning tools for state officials and the public. The 2026 Karnataka government holiday list includes 20 official public holidays in addition to weekends.
This event is part of standard year-end government procedures. Siddaramaiah remains the current Chief Minister of Karnataka as of December 2025, a position he has held since May 2023.
Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Minister Madhu Bangarappa, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Naseer Ahmed, Chief Secretary to the Government Dr. Shalini Rajneesh and many other dignitaries were present.
