Dr Shalini Rajneesh, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Karnataka, addressed the CII Southern Regional Council Meeting in Bengaluru today, highlighting the state’s strong commitment to industry-friendly policies, youth empowerment, and inclusive skilling.
“Dr Shalini Rajneesh emphasized Karnataka’s efforts to build a progressive, investor-friendly environment, positioning the state as a partner in industry-led growth. Dr Rajneesh spotlighted the Yuva Nidhi scheme, which provides financial support to unemployed youth, and urged industry leaders to collaborate in building a future-ready talent pipeline.
Underscoring the importance of industry-academia collaboration, she called for greater alignment between education and emerging job roles. She also stressed the government’s focus on increasing women participation through skill development and entrepreneurship, aimed at fostering inclusive economic participation. Dr Rajneesh encouraged deeper public–private collaboration to co-create innovative skilling models and drive Karnataka’s vision for resilient and equitable growth.”
A handbook for “Karnataka Innovation & Startup ecosystem” was also released during the meeting, that serves as a platform for highlighting the potential of emerging sectors & industrial vision.
