Geneva is latest British Airways lounge to benefit from £6.5bn investment programme
· Follows airline’s recently renewed lounges in Johannesburg, New York JFK and San Francisco
· Larger lounge to host more customers with zoned areas including a lobby bar, peaceful seating area and craft beer room and new catering throughout
British Airways has today unveiled the latest in its lounge developments, re-opening the newly refurbished lounge in Geneva as part of its £6.5 billion investment for customers.
The lounge has undergone significant refurbishment and follows a new design concept for the airline, which debuted in 2018.
The lounge has been carefully curated to give guests a warm welcome and offer a place to relax or work prior to their travels. The space, which has been extended to 327 square metres, is carefully laid out to offer designated areas that are designed to meet different customer needs.
A lively lobby bar is placed in the centre of the space, ideal for socialising and maximising down time. A tempting display of spirits, beers and soft drinks are available together with a selection of fine wines. Prosecco is available throughout the lounge for guests to help themselves to.
A peaceful, separate seating area with a mix of elegant armchairs, banquette seating and power outlets are available for those who wish to work or recharge ahead of their journey.
A brand-new craft beer room has been created, allowing guests to discover new tipples and to make the most of the draft beer taps featuring BrewDog Punk IPA and Indie Pale Ale.
New catering offers an enhanced dining menu of grilled paninis, continental cheeses, fresh fruit, soups and warming main dishes. A selection of sweets, cakes and biscuits are available throughout the day to accompany a coffee from one of the two newly installed barista units.
Zoned areas in the lounge will enable guests to choose what area they would like to relax in depending on their mood, with a music system and bespoke playlist. Lighting has been carefully planned by zone and dimmable to reflect the time of day.

British Airways has recently re-opened a brand-new, contemporary lounge in Johannesburg which is spread across 880 square metres and can host 247 customers. The airline has this year also completed the renovation of its First and Club lounges lounge in New York’s JFK Terminal 7, along with improvements to the customer experience at check-in, which are currently underway. A new lounge has also been unveiled in San Francisco, spread across 665 square metres with fantastic views of the runway.
The refurbished Geneva lounge comes as the airline is investing £6.5 billion for its customers over five years, including the installation of the best quality Wi-Fi and power in every aircraft seat, fitting 128 long-haul aircraft with new interiors and taking delivery of 72 new aircraft. This year the airline has also introduced its Club Suite, a new business class seat with direct aisle access.
