OVER 694 DIFFERENTLY-ABLED INDIVIDUALS IN KARNATAKA BEGIN A NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment, MP P.C. Mohan.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment, MP P.C. Mohan, stated that the Central Government is fully prepared to empower and serve the differently-abled community in every possible way. He further praised Narayan Seva Sansthan for its dedicated efforts to integrate the differently-abled into the mainstream of society.
“I will extend all possible support for the upliftment of differently-abled individuals and society,” he said while addressing the grand camp organized by Narayan Seva Sansthan at the Maratha Hostel premises in Basavanagudi as the Chief Guest.
A total of 694 differently-abled individuals participated in this camp to receive free artificial limbs and calipers. MP Mohan assured that he would work towards resolving any issues related to the differently-abled community.

He appreciated the remarkable services Narayan Seva Sansthan is providing in Karnataka, saying, “This organization is helping differently-abled individuals like a divine force. I will actively participate in all your constructive initiatives.”

The camp commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
On this occasion, distinguished guests including social worker Mahendra Munot, Kunwar Rakesh Desarla, Ashwin Semlani (Advisor to the Railway Board), Moolsingh Rajpurohit, Ramesh Mali, Sunil Vaishnav, Rakesh Vaishnav, Narayan Seva Sansthan President Prashant Agarwal, Director Vandana Agarwal, local branch president Vinod Jain, and Palak Agarwal were present.

Social worker Mahendra Munot highlighted that Narayan Seva Sansthan is not only empowering the differently-abled but is also helping restore their lost confidence and hope, performing a service immensely valuable to society.
Praja Prabhutva Sena’s Rakesh Desarla praised the years of dedicated service by the Sansthan’s founder Kailash ‘Manav’ and current president Prashant Agarwal. He also extended best wishes to the differently-abled individuals who, with the help of this camp, have begun a new chapter in life, walking confidently on their own.

All the guests visited the camp, listened to the stories of the beneficiaries, and observed the fitment process explained by the doctors. The beneficiaries were also given training on how to walk and maintain their prosthetics, and they engaged in activities like playing baseball and football.

President Prashant Agarwal honored 13 generous donors from Bangalore with the “Seva Awards.” Notable among the awardees were General Motors, Bhairumal Bhandari, Dr. Sudhir Lodha, Uday Singh Tater, Ashok Raka, Nitin Bhatt, and the Lions Club B.

At the beginning of the event, Narayan Seva Sansthan’s Bangalore branch head Vinod Jain welcomed the dignitaries in traditional Mewari style and shared the organization’s journey, highlighting how it has grown from a “handful of flour” to its current stature.

President Prashant Agarwal shared that a preliminary camp had been organized on February 2 in Bangalore to reach out to the differently-abled near their homes, during which over 1,050 patients had been registered. Out of these, 694 were selected for artificial limb and caliper fitment, receiving today the gift of a new life.

In a heartwarming moment during the ceremony, the beneficiaries performed a parade wearing their new artificial limbs.
The Sansthan’s doctors provided walking training and guidance on the maintenance of the prosthetics.
