Bengaluru, April 2026:
The much-anticipated 14th edition of the Tiger Cup Cricket Tournament is all set to commence on April 6 across four venues in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Over the years, the tournament has grown into one of the most prominent grassroots cricketing platforms in the state.
This year’s edition will feature 56 teams competing across multiple categories, including Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Girls’s under-15 cricket, showcasing emerging talent from across Karnataka.
Since its inception in 2010, the Tiger Cup has played a pivotal role in nurturing young cricketers, many of whom have progressed to represent Karnataka at various levels and have gone on to feature in prestigious tournaments such as the Karnataka Premier League and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The tournament is the brainchild of former Indian cricketers Sandeep Patil, Yusuf Pathan, and Harbhajan Singh. Over the years, it has received widespread support and encouragement from legendary figures of Indian cricket, including Gundappa Viswanath, Roger Binny, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Sunil Joshi, Varun Aaron, and Murali Vijay, among others.
Beyond cricket, the Tiger Cup stands out for its strong social commitment. Proceeds from the tournament are dedicated to supporting forest watchers and guards, unsung heroes who play a crucial role in protecting our forest ecosystems. These individuals are honoured and felicitated by international cricketers, highlighting the tournament’s unique blend of sport and social responsibility.
The continued success of the Tiger Cup has been made possible through the generous support of partners and sponsors, including NR Group (Cycle Agarbathi), Sidvin Engineering Coretech, Tiger Ramesh, and Ten x You.
With a legacy of excellence, talent development, and community impact, the Tiger Cup has firmly established itself as a premier cricketing event in Karnataka and continues to inspire the next generation of cricketers.
