Tirupati, July 22, 2026: Sri Govindaraja Swamy to Bless Devotees on Garuda Vahanam Tulasi Mahatyam Purana Recital to Mark the Occasion.
TTD will conduct the sacred Tulasi Mahatyam Utsavam at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati, on July 26 with religious fervour.
The festival is observed on Sravana Sukla Dwadasi to commemorate the appearance of Tulasi Devi, who is considered most dear to Lord Srimannarayana.
On the occasion, Sri Govindaraja Swamy will bless devotees on Garuda Vahanam from 4.30 a.m. to 6.30 a.m., taking a procession through the four Mada Streets.
Later, Asthanam will be held from 6.30 a.m. to 7.30 a.m., during which temple priests will recite the Tulasi Mahatyam Purana and explain the significance of Tulasi Devi.
Theertha Prasadam will be distributed to devotees afterwards.
TTD has invited devotees to participate in the sacred festival and receive the blessings of Sri Govindaraja Swamy.
