Bangalore, January 10, 2025: ISKCON Bangalore was surcharged with a devotional atmosphere and constantly resounded the chants of Govinda on Vaikuntha Ekadashi. Lakhs of devotees visited Sri Radha Krishna Mandir on Hare Krishna Hill and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple on Vaikuntha Hill on this auspicious day.
The temples were decorated with colourful, fragrant flowers and festoons, enhancing the festive spirit. The celebrations began at 3 am with Suprabhata Seva to Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda. The Deities were offered an elaborate abhisheka with milk, fruit juices, panchagavya and naturally scented water. They were then adorned in new garments and fresh flower garlands.
The utsava Deities of Sri Radha Krishnachandra in the alankara of Sri Lakshmi Narayana were seated on the Anantha Sesha Vahana on the Vaikuntha Dwara at Hare Krishna Hill. Sri Rajagopala, Rukmini and Satyabhama were decorated as Sri Narayana, Sridevi and Bhudevi. Laksharchana Seva (chanting 1 lakh names of Govinda), Kunkumarchana Seva and Kalyanotsava were among the highlights of the festival. The festivities concluded with the late-night darshan called Ekanta seva and a Maha Arati.
