Hindi month 2020 was commenced at Canara Bank, Head Office, Bengaluru on 01.09.2020.
L.V. Prabhakar Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and garlanding the portrait of founder Ammembal Subba Rao Pai.
While addressing the employees, he thrust upon use of Hindi and regional languages to provide better customer service to the general public.
On this occasion, Canara Bank’s house magazine “Canara Jyoti” was released by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. L.V. Prabhakar and Executive Directors Mr. M.V. Rao, Mr. S. Krishnan, Mr. Debashish Mukherjee and Ms. A. Manimekhalai.
In order to promote the use of Hindi in the bank, a slogan “ हिंदी के प्रयोग में वृद्धि, ग्राहक सेवा में संवृद्धि” was also announced. Also, various awards were announced for the Wings, circles and employees who performed best in Hindi.
On this occasion, the Chief General Manager of Human Resources Wing, L.V.R. Prasad, along with other executive officers and employees of Head Office were present. H.M. Basavaraj, Deputy General Manager, Human Resources Wing welcomed all the dignitaries. Social distancing was taken care of throughout the program.
