Bangalore, November 21, 2025: Showcasing remarkable talent, teamwork, and sporting excellence, the Under-17 Boys’ Football Team from Greenwood High International School, Sarjapur campus, has emerged as the winners of the International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO) National Football Tournament held at Jayshree Periwal International School (JPIS), Jaipur. The team delivered a flawless performance throughout the tournament, winning every match and not conceding a single goal.
This achievement highlights their defensive strength, strategic brilliance, and unwavering determination, ultimately earning them the recognition of being India’s No. 1 Team among International Curriculum Schools in their age category. The excitement extended back to the campus as students gathered to watch the live-streamed final, filling the school with an atmosphere of unity and celebration as they cheered the team to victory.
Several players were recognised for their individual brilliance, including Team Captain Rahul Karthik of Grade 10, who earned three Man of the Match awards, Aarav Kolhe of Grade 10, who was declared Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament and received a Man of the Match title, Jayadeep Pentyala of Grade 11, who secured three Man of the Match awards, and Kulkarni Kabir Makarand of Grade 9, who received one Man of the Match honour. Their outstanding performances played a pivotal role in the team’s overall success and reflect the depth of talent nurtured at Greenwood High.
