KLIA, 21 January 2026 – Malaysia Aviation Group (“MAG”) today announced the appointment of Bryan Foong Chee Yeong (“Bryan”) as Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business, and Low Wen Long (“Wen Long”) as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective 1 February 2026. Reporting directly to the President and Group CEO-designate of MAG, Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, these appointments strengthen MAG’s leadership at a pivotal stage as the Group advances its Long-Term Business Plan 3.0 (LTBP 3.0), driving growth in its core businesses and ensuring financial stability.
As Chief Executive Officer of Airline Business, Bryan will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and performance of MAG’s global and segmented airlines portfolio, including Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Amal. A respected leader within the organisation, Bryan currently serves as Group Chief Strategy Officer, where he has played an instrumental role in the Group’s financial restructuring during the COVID-19 pandemic and supported its return to profitability. With a strong track record in developing high-impact strategies and partnerships, Bryan is well positioned to lead the airline businesses in driving commercial performance, operational reliability and customer-centric innovation, further reinforcing MAG’s regional and global standing.
Meanwhile, Wen Long will lead the formulation and execution of the Group’s enterprise-wide strategy across its key business portfolios to support sustainable growth and value creation. Since his appointment as Head of Corporate Strategy in 2018, Wen Long has played a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s transformational roadmap under LTBP 2.0 and LTBP 3.0, driving long-term fleet planning, network optimisation and strategic initiatives that have strengthened MAG’s market position and accelerated its growth ambitions.
Captain Nasaruddin said, “As MAG enters the next stage of its transformation, marking a shift from stabilisation to scaled and disciplined growth, we are guided by a clear responsibility to build a financially sustainable and globally competitive aviation group that serves as a key enabler of Malaysia’s long-term development. I have full confidence in the leadership team to execute our strategic priorities with discipline, delivering consistent performance and creating enduring value for our customers, employees and stakeholders.”
As Captain Nasaruddin assumes his full role as President and Group Chief Executive Officer of MAG on 1 February, he will continue to be supported by a seasoned executive team, Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Services, and Philip See, Chief Executive Officer of Loyalty & Travel Services. This core leadership – ensuring coordinated expertise across MAG’s three core business areas including Airline Business – is further bolstered by the recent appointments of Amran Mohd Tomin as Group Chief People Officer and Ong Min Hui as Group Chief Transformation and Customer Experience Officer.
With this strengthened leadership team in place, MAG is well-positioned to execute its strategic milestones and reinforce its commitment to delivering exceptional value to its stakeholders and customers worldwide.
