Bengaluru to host Kabaddi extravaganza from October 1 to 8

The Karnataka Kabaddi Premier League (KKPL), which is set to usher in a new chapter in Karnataka’s kabaddi landscape, will be held in Bengaluru from October 1 to 8, 2026.
The event is being organised by 5N Sports Pvt. Ltd. in association with the Karnataka State Amateur Kabaddi Association. The KKPL will have the distinction of being the first franchise-based kabaddi league of its kind in South India.
The tournament will be held at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium.
The KKPL player auction was been successfully conducted in Bengaluru, with talented players from various districts of Karnataka being selected by eight franchise teams.
Players attracted strong bids, marking a significant milestone as Karnataka’s kabaddi players will receive financial value and recognition on such a large professional platform for the first time.
The KKPL is exclusively open to players from Karnataka and the aim is to bring together and showcase talent from different parts of the state on a single platform.
The objective of the league goes beyond merely organising a tournament. The KKPL aims to provide Karnataka’s kabaddi talent with better opportunities, recognition, financial incentives and a professional platform to showcase their skills.
The league will feature eight franchise teams representing different parts of Karnataka, with players taking the arena for their respective teams.
The KKPL matches will reach audiences through live streaming in five different languages. A wide range of media platforms, including digital media, social media, FM radio, newspapers and hoardings, are being utilised to promote the mega event.
The organisers have appealed to sports fans to turn up in large numbers for this kabaddi extravaganza in Bengaluru from October 1 to 8 and extend their support to Karnataka’s players and teams.
