ASICS and Procam International, along with Olympic athlete and Arjuna Award winner, today unveiled the official ‘Finisher’s Tee’ for the 12th edition of the world’s premier Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru. The IAAF Gold Label Race which will be flagged off from the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday, 19th May 2019 – will see in action India’s best run alongside world class athletes.
ASICS, the brand globally synonymous with running, has partnered with TCS World 10K Bengaluru as their official ‘Sports Goods Partner’. With this initiative, the brand aims to support the runners in South India, where running has become an integral part of everyone’s lives.
Along with being the current national record holder in both 800m and 1,500m races, the athlete from Kozhikode, won a Silver and Gold medal in the 800 mts and 1500 mts respectively at the last edition of the Asian Games in Indonesia. Jinson trained under coach Muhammed Kunhi for nearly 5 years, where he evolved as an athlete and won his first international medal, a silver at the Asian Championships. The athlete is currently focusing on running 1500 metres, to gear up for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Over the past decade, TCS World 10K Bengaluru has reinvented itself and spear-headed path breaking initiatives. One such initiative was taken in 2018 when an all-women pacer squad was introduced for the Open 10k category. A global first, this year too, 15 women pacers across 9 pace buses will lead over 16,000 amateurs to clock their personal best.
