Shalini Rajneesh, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning Department, Government of Karnataka has instructed to speed up the process of birth and death registration under the civil registration system.she was speaking while presiding over the inter-departmental coordination committee meeting held on Thursday regarding the civil registration system at the office hall of the Additional Chief Secretary’s multi-storied building in Bangalore.
It is informed that under Rule 5(3) of the Karnataka Births and Deaths Registration Rules, 1999, the public must submit information related to births and deaths in Form-1 (Birth Report) and Form-2 (Death Report) within 21 days of the birth and death to the Registrar for registration.
